Child Car Safety Seat Clinic-Saturday 1:30-Rough & Ready Days-by Monticello Police Dept. & Childrens Hospital
Published by Joe Burgess May 8th, 2008 in Festivals, Police /Legal.This will be the third year in a row that MPD has sponsored a Child Car Safety Seat Clinic, with this years event at Rough & Ready Days, Saturday begining at 1:30.
The first year Hank Hollinger was the only certified child safety seat technician south of Pine Bluff.
That year he installed 89 car seats by himself, not counting the seats in cars that were checked.
This year, Lt. Steven Stain and Cpl. Carlos Garcia have also been certified, and some technicians from Children’s Hospital are scheduled to be here to help as well.
The Child Car Safety Seat Clinic will be held on the north end of the park by the Senior citizens building.
It starts at 1:30 p.m., and will continue until they run out of seats.
Sgt. Hollinger told MonticelloLive, “We can check any car seat they have, with or without the child, but to receive one of our seats, they must bring the child with them.”

This is an awesome program! We got a free seat last year & they secured it so tight that it won’t move at all. The seat is still tightly secured & I appreciate their help. I highly encourage all parents to take the time to make sure their kids safety seats are properly secured.
