Charles Davis has announced his candidacy for City Council Alderman in Ward 4 Position 2.  

Davis is a lifelong resident of Monticello. Davis graduated from Monticello High School and is a graduate from the University of Arkansas Monticello. Davis recently retired as an accountant for 20 years from Bemis Company in Crossett.

Davis also served as a member of the photo mapping unit on the United States Air Force. 

Davis is a member of First Baptist Church and has three children: Kenny & his wife Michelle Davis of Monticello, Lance & his wife Beverly Davis of Monticello and Stacy and Brian Gregory of England, Arkansas; and six grandchildren Michael, Morgan, Mason, & Blake Davis all of Monticello and Reagan and Brett Gregory of England, Arkansas.

Davis is the secretary/treasurer for Monticello Drew County Babe Ruth and is serving as an Assistant State Commissioner of Babe Ruth Baseball. Davis also serves on the Monticello Youth Soccer Association Board.

If elected, “I feel that in order for Monticello to catch up with the 21st century that our city council members need to move forward and be more progressive at new changes such as employment and city development.”  “I promise to work hard for the people of my ward and for all citizens of Monticello to help move Monticello forward.” “I am asking for your support and for your vote on May 20th for City Council Alderman Ward 4, Position 2.”
