Sunday night, members of True Conenant Worship Center joined with Northside Baptist Church, for a special service.
New Covenant, used Northside’s baptistry to baptize 14 new Christians, into church membership, follow Jesus’ teachings, by pastor Marcus Allen.
Of the 14, eight were members of the same family including the matriarch and grandmother, her daughter, and multiple grandchildren.
Northside pastor Sanders Brooks, along with the rest of the church, invite you to worship with them at any time. Sunday School begins at 10 AM, worship service at 11, Sunday night service at 6, and Wednesday evening prayer time at 6:30.

Malorie Allison, Jacob Griffea and Caroline Adair, all graduating members of Drew Central’s cheer team, Friday morning, signed to represent UAMonticello, beginning next year.
Congratulations to all.
26 members of the 6th and 7th grade bands at Drew Central, joined forces to compete in The Music Festival in Hot Springs on Saturday and earned a 1st Division rating, which is the best rating you can get.
After the contest they celebrated at Magic Springs.
This was their 1st time participating in the contest. Chris Bayless, Director of the “Band of Pirates” commented that “these students have worked very hard and deserve this honor, and I am very proud of them.”
A former EMT was arrested Sunday afternoon, on a traffic stop by the Monticello Police Department.

Each year the Monticello Rotary Club awards a $1,000.00 scholarship to a MHS and DCHS graduating senior who plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
This cash scholarship is paid directly to the student in $500.00 increments at the beginning of each semester.
