The City of Monticello Police, Fire and Road Departments will hold a public auction of retired, seized or unclaimed City Property.

At 7:30, several Streets, roads and highway remain flooded.

Recent recommended closures include 83 North, among others.

As rains are subsiding, water levels are falling, Monticello and Drew Central Schools will be operating on normal schedules.

Several streets in and near Monticello are currently underwater, as the levels rise. Most of these are generally the first to be affected by heavy rains. Please use caution when driving.

Congratulations to MHS students Hannah Lawrence and Elise McDuff- 2nd place and 3rd place winners in the 2019 Arkansas Endangered Species Game and Fish Art Contest. Hannah’s “Pipping Plover” chick won 2nd place and Elise’s “Harperella” won 3rd place.

Tim Leonard, Chief Deputy Public Defender for the Tenth Judicial District, has announced that he will seek election as Circuit Judge for the Tenth Judicial District, Division 1, in the upcoming nonpartisan election on March 3, 2020.
