A Drew County man was found guilty of 2 counts of harassing communications and a count of harassment, in Circuit Court, Wednesday, in his appeal of an earlier District Court case.
Both rear tires fell off of this Chevy pick-up, on HWY 278 , near the Monticello airport, around 7:30 PM, Tuesday evening.
Over a dozen Monticello firemen responded to the accident, along with Monticello Police and Drew County Sheriff’s deputies. (more…)

According to SalineRiverChronicle.com, after dealing with regular business including financial and project reports, the Southeast Arkansas Intermodal Authority Board spent a large portion of their meeting listening to and discussing ideas concerning the construction of a regional jail that would hold county and state prisoners. The concept was brought up by Drew County Judge Robert Akin and Bradley County Judge Keith Neely.

The Club was happy to welcome new player Paula Furlough to Monday night’s game. Club members Margaret Norton, Peggy Chapman, and Lowell Lynde participated in the Hot Springs Village sectional tournament during the weekend of March 27-29. Playing with Bodie Cobb of Keo and Marilyn Watt and Skip Henry both of Pine Bluff, Lynde and his teammates placed first in the A/X swiss team event.
