MMS EAST is hosting the Go! 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run for Autism Research III. The date for this year’s race is Saturday, April 10th. All proceeds go to Autism Research and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Mr. Copicos 8th grade students are working hard to make this the best year ever and have set a goal of $2000. Please note that the start has changed to First Baptist Church-Monticello (instead of City Park). Registration is $15/person until March 19th and $20 after that. Registration fees cover entrance into the race and a race t-shirt. MHS BULLETIN–3/9/2010

The afterschool program will remain open throughout the month of March.

The will be Pom Clinic starting the Monday we come back from Spring Break which is March 29. This will help prepare you for the upcoming tryouts the following week. Please see Mrs. Palsa for details.

MHS BULLETIN—3/8/2010

The afterschool program will remain open throughout the month of March.

The Monticello High School Band attended the Region 4 Concert Band Assessment in Camden on Friday, March 5th. The band received 1st division superior ratings from the three judges in the prepared concert performance and received a 1st division superior rating in the concert sight-reading portion of the assessment. These awards combined with the 1st division superior ratings received at marching assessment in the fall gives the Monticello HS Band the Sweepstakes Award for 2009-2010. MHS BULLETIN–2/03/2010

IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! CHANGES IN AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM. A lack of funding has necessitated changes in the after-school program. The following changes started yesterday.
Library—The library will be open only to students who have to complete computer or research projects or need to complete their 30 days for remediation. Students with projects MUST have assignment sheets from their day teachers.
Math—Math will be offered as usual. Students MUST have assignments to attend the class.
ESL Spanish—Will operate as usual
Book Club—This club will meet on Monday & Wed of each week from 3:20—5:00 as long as students consistently attend the program.
