Evan Bealer, a 3rd grader at MES, killed this button buck in Wilmar at his family deer camp while hunting with his dad.
He killed the deer with a Winchester 270 Short Magnum at 4:15 pm on Sunday.

Kaylie Jester, 7, of Wilmar killed her first turkey Saturday morning with her Daddy and her cousin calling it in.
Around noon Saturday, a Drew County man, estimated to be in his 20s, was seriously injured when a hunting rifle discharged as he was getting it out of his truck.
As most Drew County residents (it seemed) were at Walmart for the early Black Friday sale, local law enforcement and firefighters were on in the cold, dark night, searching for a lost elderly man, hoping to make this a “Thanksgiving to remember,” for a Miracle, instead of a tragedy, for his family.
A 69 year old man, believed to have been hunting near Sixteen Section Road and HWY 278 East, was reported missing to MPD Dispatch around 8 pm, Thanksgiving night.
Mr. Rodney Cash is the happy winner of a Remington 870 youth model 20 gauge shotgun. Cash, who said he had entered many such drawings but had never won anything before, stated that he is looking forward to using the gun to take younger members of his family hunting with him.
The drawing was sponsored by the Southeast Arkansas TEA Party, and the gun was awarded to Mr. Cash by TEA Party Leader Nancy Miller on November 15.
A missing 67-year-old deer hunter was located near the Drew-Bradley County line, around 2 AM Sunday morning, after he had been in the woods for over 12 hours. The man had been dropped off at his deer stand at 1:30 pm and was trying to track a deer when he got lost in the woods.

Trent Hoskins 11years old from McGehee killed this 4 point while hunting in Star City Monday November 12, 2012 with his PawPaw Rick Barnhardt. Trent is the son of Phil and Leslie Hornaday of McGehee and Roger and Kristine Hoskins of Monticello. Grandson of Rick and Patricia Barnhardt of Star City and Roger and Sandi Hoskins of Woodlawn.
