“I want to thank the people for allowing me to represent them in the House of Representative for the past 10 years. It has been a privilege to serve the people of District 8.
I am pleased with what has been accomplished but know there is much more to do to keep our area of the state viable and headed on a positive economic path. I am very excited about the Regional Jail project that will soon be an opportunity for our area. 190 votes were cast during early voting for the County Road Tax 1¢ Sales Tax Extension. If approved, the extended tax will last for six years, when it will be decided by voters if it should be extended again.
Today, June 11, is election day.
The polls are open from 7:30 AM, 7:30 PM.
Please note that all voting will be done at the primary voting sites inside of Monticello. All County voters will vote at these 4 polling places.

Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Frank Spain announces his campaign for Tenth Judicial Circuit Judge Division 2.
Frank Spain moved to Crossett with his parents, Thomas and Marguerite Earnestine Spain in 1990 when his mother was appointed to the position of Postmaster. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1997. (more…)

Judge Bruce Anderson announced his intention to seek re-election as District Judge for the 28th District Court, composed of Bradley and Drew Counties, in the election to be held March 3, 2020. Tuesday night construct computer and printer problems shut the ballot counting towels down multiple times, during the night. After using a jump drive to transfer end of night totals to a separate computer/printer, totals were printed.
Please consider that used to be an official, until final decisions are made by the election commission.
