Because of Tuesday’s weather, the Christmas Parade will take place Thursday, December 1, 6:00 pm.

The Sensory Friendly section will be located on the north end of Main St. in the First Baptist parking lot.

Monticello’s 28^th Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Tuesday, November 29, beginning at 6:00 pm.    The theme of our parade is “Carols of Christmas” .

Each float entry will be selecting their favorite Christmas carol and then decorating their entry to look depict that song. Also, each entry will have music playing and sparkling Christmas lights to add to the excitement of the evening.  Miss Arkansas will be joining us and serving as our parade marshal.

A special “Christmas Train” will be offering rides all around the town square beginning at 4:30 pm.  Each child will also be given holiday treats and countless opportunities for some outstanding photo opportunities.

This popular event simply would not be possible without our Christmas Parade sponsors.  In an effort to help recognize our event sponsors, the chamber will be posting names of our sponsoring individuals and businesses all around our town square.   We invite each of you to join in helping to sponsor another “Carols of Christmas” Parade night here in Monticello.

Suggested sponsorship levels are $600.00 and $250.00.

The Monticello Area Chamber of Commerce held their 26TH ANNUAL WEEVIL WELCOME COOKOUT, Monday night at City Park.

Kindred at Home recently became CenterWell Home Health with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Friday and had a celebration with their clinicians.

They provide skilled home health services such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy for all of Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Llincoln, and parts of Arkansas, Calhoun, Dallas, Grant, Jefferson, and Union counties. (more…)

The Monticello Area Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Drew County’s graduating seniors who were named “Arkansas Scholars,” with the luncheon at FUMC.

Chamber of Commerce volunteers worked with the Monticello Downtown Network Committee to prepare and hang flowering baskets around Monticello’s town square.

Each year, our Monticello Downtown Network committee members plan and develop new improvements and additions to the Historic Downtown Commercial District.

In 2021 MDN was responsible for adding the large mural located on the building at the southwest corner of the square. Plans for 2022 projects will be announced soon.

The Monticello Drew County Chamber of Commerce held their  annual awards banquet, Tuesday night.
