Around 4 p.m. Friday, the car shown here ran up onto the curb in front of the Monticello Wal-Mart, and struck the building, just below the SuperCenter sign.

Store manager, Jeff Reynolds, is shown here holding what used to be a water hydrant at the front of the building.

The lady driving the vehicle was arrested at the scene. 

Wal-Mart has been undergoing a major re-modeling project, but today’s activity was not in the plans.
