Business & Community Leaders from SEARK Meet at UAM for Statewide TeleConference with Gov. Beebe

Wednesday morning, banking, business, agricultural, education, medical, retail, and government leaders from all across southeast Arkansas met at UAM’s library to take part in a statewide teleconference with 6 other sites.
Dr. Lou James was the co-ordinator of the local event that had 35 area leaders from all southeast Arkansas counties represented.
The ”Arkansas Economic Issues Breakfast Series” covered sections on how our state is affected by economic factors, and included input from 3 economic experts, who explained how our area’s financial situations relate to national, regional, and state issues.
The event was designed to encourage economic development in Arkansas, through the disseminaiton of high quality information and analysis to business, community, and government leaders.
Gov. Mike Beebe was a part of the teleconference, speaking from another site to all of the groups attending.
