This late model Ford Crown Victoria ran through the intersection of Patton and Edgewood Streets, near SeaArk Marine at approximately 8:30 p.m. Monday night. No one was hurt in the accident as the car plowed into the stand of trees between the boat business and Western Sizzlin. Police and rescue personnel closed off the intersection while they determined the cause of the wreck. The driver said that the brakes on the vehicle failed.
