The Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Drew County met on Tuesday evening at the Club.  Board members present included Angela Cook, Bettye Gragg, Michelle Chapman, Tom Wingard, and Ken Harper.  Also present were Jacob Smith and Nancy Chapman.  The following business was addressed:

The minutes and financial reports were approved.  No executive director report was presented.

Old business included:

1.  The report of the results of the First Assemlby of God Church’s fundraising event for the   Club. Again, the Club thanks the Church and its efforts;

2.   Addressing the contract with the City of Monticello and the potential modification of same.  Also, the Board discussed the need of staffing and pay rates; and

3.  The issue of matching grants was addressed.  Other fundraising events were addressed including dinners, a raffle and some tie in to the Rough and Ready Days.

New business included:

1.  Addressing insurance needs;

2.  Reconnecting with the summer food program; and

3.  The offer by Mr. Echols for computer supplies and other avenues for same.

The next Board meeting will be April 1, 2008, at 6:00 pm at the Club at City Park School. The public is welcome.
