February 1st, 2012 by Submitted
Robert “Bobby” Harris Jr has announced his candidacy for Drew County Judge in May Democratic Primary.
Harris, 49, is the son of Robert and Peggy Harris of the Barkada Community. He resides in the Prairie Grove Community with his wife of 27 years Susan (Bowden) Harris. He has five daughters Stephanie Harris, Amber and Tim Wells, Nikki and Austin Williams, Laci and David Marter, and Staci and Brandon James. His five grandchildren include Madison Harris, Lynnley and Parker Wells, & Jaxon and Robert Alan Williams. Two more will be added in 2012. All are residents of Drew County. Harris is a graduate of Monticello High School, and a lifelong resident of Drew County.
Harris has been most recently employed in the pipeline industry. Work experience also includes road construction and self employment for 10 years in the trucking business.
I will strive to bring employment opportunities to the residents of Drew County, maintain the road program, work closely with the Quorum Court and mayors of Drew County to bring cost effective improvements to our towns and roadways, and providing honesty and integrity to the position of County Judge.
I would very much appreciate your support in my candidacy for Drew County Judge.

Good luck Bobby! Drew County deserves someone that has common sense and knows what it takes to do a days work. I also believe you are a person that can be his own man which is also an asset to performing this duty for all the citizens of Drew County. I know you to be fair, honest, and truthful all of which are important qualities for the person that holds this position.
