The traditional Billies Blue and White game activities began at 6 pm, as the Dance Team, Cheerleaders, and Sr.  Billies were introduced.

Around 6:20, an announcement was made, asking fans to clear the stands, and go to their vehicles or other safe place, and the scrimmage was then postponed for 30 minutes, due to an approaching thunderstorm.

As the lightning continued, the decision was made to cancel the game.
