Billies Robbed During Playoff Game-Police Investigating
Published by Joe Burgess November 21st, 2008 in Monticello School Sports, Police /Legal.During last Friday nights lBillies playoff game, someone went into the Billies fieldhouse, which is located at the high school on Old Warren Road, and stole several electronic items, include cell phones, ipods, etc. A small amount of cash was also taken.
Entry to the fieldhouse was made through the viewing room, according to Monticello Police.

YOU KNOW PEOPLE DONT HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR PEOPLES THING WHILE THERE AT A HOME FOOTBALL GAME . ITS DISRESPECTFULL THAT KIDS WOULD DO THAT. PEOPLE DONT CARE HOW HARD OTHER PEOPLE WORK TO GET THINGS FOR THERE KIDS. I WONT YALL TO KNOW THE LORD NOWS WHO YOU ARE, KIDS DONT HAVE MANNERS, DONT RESPECT, OTHER KIDS THINGS. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHEN WE CAME UP BACK INTHE DAY . YOU DIDNT DO THAT OR IF YOU DID YOU GOT A WHOPPING. IT UN CHRISTIAN LIKE TO STEAL FROM OTHERS I HOPE THE POLICE CAUGHTS YOU . AND THE CRIMES STOP. AND YOU ARE A SUPORTER OF THE SCHOOL YOU ROBBED YOU ARE VERY SORRY FOR THAT.
This is pathetic!! Hope the person/people that did this get what’s coming to them!

A lot of rumors have been circulating about the robbery. The people responsible have to be made accountable because the field house has been the target of theft more than once. It’s likely the same people are responsible this time. Maybe they think this will “go away” like it always has but a lot of kids have been affected by this and their trust has been shaken. It is imperative that the kids who work hard to buy things and earn money not have to pay for the deeds of kids who don’t care about their peers. It won’t go away this time and the only way it won’t happen again is for parents to stand together and not allow it. We need protection of our school campus 24 hours a day obviously. Too many things get swept under the rug so many times because of politics and who it might affect. Wrong is wrong no matter who you are and YOU DO KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!
What is sad, even if the one or ones involved are caught, they will get minimal punishment. Too many people get a slap on the hand around here.
You are right Joe. Just wondering if anyone has any updates on this. Trying to find out anything conclusive is like running into a brick wall. If anyone knows who did this, please do what is morally right and come forward. Not enough kids are taught these days that you ALWAYS do what is right, no matter the cost. We as adults need to live the example before them and only then will we see a change in them.
