Billies get no mercy from P.A.
Published by Jeff November 4th, 2006 in News, Schools, Site.Although the mercy rule was invoked in the game Friday night, Monticello received none from Pulaski Academy, being defeated 61-33. It took less than a minute to score the first time, making it 6-0, after a bobbled snap for the extra point. The Bruins powered their way to a 48-13 halftime lead. D.J Washington came up big for Monticello, with touchdown runs of 64 and 62 yards in the first half alone.
Monticello (5-5) plays at Greenwood next Friday in the first round of the state playoffs. Pulaski Academy (9-1) will host Siloam Springs.
