The boxing card opened with Jerrell Stephens, of Shreveport, battling Chris Taylor, of Bosier City,

Stephens won the match in the first round by technical knockout, when the referee declared Taylor unable to continue.

The ringside seating area was well filled, and the spectator section behind them had many onlookers as well.

This appears to be the only well-publicized Monticello area boxing card in quite sometime, so the turnout did better than many expected.

Of course, the ring girls were a popular attraction, between the rounds and matches.

There were six lovely ladies, several of them being from Little Rock, who came down tonight to be a part of the program.
