Barbara McLemore has announced her plans to run for Drew County Justice of the Peace in District 9.  Other than a year in Nigeria, West Africa, she has been a life long resident of Drew County. 

Barbara worked in the Sheriff’s office from March of 1992, until she assumed the duties of Administrator over the Detention Facility in January, 1996.  She served in that position until January, 2005. 

McLemore is currently employed as Customer Service Manager for Drew Foam.  During her 13 years of employment with the county, Barbara was directly involved in the day to day operations of the Sheriff’s office and the Detention Facility. 

Barbara has worked directly with most of the offices in the courthouse, has prepared budgets, and made presentations to the Quorum court.  She understands how the court works as well as how decisions made by the court affect the offices and personnel involved. 

Barbara lives in the Ladelle area.  She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and is active in Ladelle Baptist Church.  Barbara asks for your support and vote.
