Monticello Pee Wee Football Registration – Saturday

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

The Monticello PeeWee Football League will have registration on Saturday, August 25, at Hyatt Field. Registration is open to all area youth in the 1st through 6th grade. Flag football is available for 1st and 2nd graders. Tackle football and cheerleading is available for 3rd through 6th graders. Athletes may register online at www.monticellopeeweefootball.com.

All 3rd – 6th grade football players must come to Hyatt Field on Saturday, August 25 to be weighed.

This is the 8th year that the league has been in existance. The league was established to provide all area youth the opportunity to learn the game of football and cheerleading. All games are played at Hyatt Field with no travel required.

The Monticello Peewee Football League is not associated with any school district, and believes that if basic football skills are taught, the athletes can adapt to any system that they may participate in.

12 Year Old All-Stars Undefeated in Lonoke Tourney

Today is MYSA Opening Day / Team Photo Announcement

Saturday, September 10th, 2011

MYSA will start games on Saturday, September 10th. Teams that are scheduled to play on this day will take team and individual photos before their first scheduled game on Field 1.

Please make sure that your team shows up at least 15 minutes before their scheduled photo time. Please ask your coaches for your photo prices and envelopes.

Softball is back in Monticello, starting Monday, September 26th.
Church Co-ed League, Monday nights at Monticello Sports Complex
Men’s recreational league, Tuesday nights at Jordan Park.
Game times are 6:30, 7:30, & 8:30 p.m.

T-Ball All-Stars Place 5th in State Tournament

The Monticello Tball 6U All Star Team placed 5th out of 30 teams in the recent state competition in Sherwood Arkansas. These boys worked hard and want to thank all of the people who donated and helped make this All Star Season Possible.

12 Year Olds “Knockout” the Competion to Win State Tournament

Monticello 12U Softball  All-Stars won the Babe Ruth state tournament in Fordyce, Sunday. The Knockouts qualified to play in the Babe Ruth regional tournament in Gulf Port, MS, on July 20-23.

Members of the team are Bailey Adair, Caroline Adair, Madison Arrington, Macie Blagg, Katie Connelley, Morgan Davis, Kiara Franklin, Hannah Jones, Emilee Lawson, Jaela Martin, Jaye Lauren Pace, and Sydney Sizemore.

Babe Ruth Softball Registration Announced

2011 Monticello Babe Ruth Softball Registration is currently underway until March 12th.

Forms can be picked up and dropped off at Farm Bureau Insurance.

In-person sign up will be:
*Saturday, February 26th, 9a.m. to noon at Hibbett Sports
*Friday, March 4th, 4-6:30p.m. at Farm Bureau
*Friday, March 11th, 4-6:30p.m. at Farm Bureau

Rogers Inducted in Babe Ruth Southwest Region Hall of Fame

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

At the South Arkansas State meeting held Saturday, at the new complex in Bryant, Joe Rogers, the South Arkansas State Commissioner, was inducted into the Southwest Region Hall of Fame.

Arkansas serves over 150 leagues of community based youth baseball. Three international Babe Ruth League Board members, James Wagoner, Jim Hill, and Joe Featherston, the Southwest Regional Commissioner, were also present at the meeting.
