516Missions and Pauline Baptist Church are hosting a community-wide Dessert Theater Variety Show this Saturday, February 11th at 7pm at the First Baptist Church Gym. Tickets are $15/person and can be picked up from Pauline Baptist Church office or from 516Missions team members.

ALL proceeds go to short term missions teams going to New Orleans, Washington, PA, Starkville, Jamaica, Costa Rica, The Philippines, Belize, and Kenya. All are welcome! For More Information, contact 367.3085. All are welcome!

Revival Center will host its Annual Red, White, and You, on Feb 11, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. Theme for this year is “Safari Soiree, A Night of Untamed Love.”

The evening will include, dinner, games, prizes, and live entertainment! The event will be held in the Alpha Brooks Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $40- couple, $25- single. 4th Annual Wild Game Supper At Immanuel Baptist Church, Feb. 25th

This year besides all the great food, we will have as our special guest speaker KARK 4’s morning show co-host Matt Mosler. Matt is the director of Beautiful Feet Ministry and an avid outdoorsman. Mrs. Pearl Brown was honored by her church family for her 90th birthday.

The members of Faith Missionary Baptist Church surprised Mrs. Brown with a cake and gifts during their Christmas Potluck on December 18th. Mrs. Brown was born on December 20.

“Jesus, The Reason for the Season: The Christmas Story, “will be presented by the Choirs and Youth Department of the Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, December 17th at 5 p.m. This, according to Mount Tabor pastor, Rev. Shay Gillespie, Gillespie also stated that the church will have its annual lighting of the Christmas tree for its many members of the Youth Department.

“Simply put, the magic of the Christmas Story will be told through the music of the choirs and by the many young people who will be placed in numerous character roles,” said Gillespie. “As bad as it may sound, you might be totally surprised by the huge number of young people who have never seen or heard the Christmas Story. That’s why we are not only teaching the story, but we are allowing our young people the chance to truly feel the spirit of the season by becoming Bible personalities through acting.”

According to Gillespie, some of the characters included in the presentation will be the Baby Jesus, Joseph, Mary, Angels, Kings and Shepherds. A number of traditional Christmas songs will also be featured with various gospel selections. “This is one time of year when even some of the worst of us will stop and spread a little Christmas cheer,” said Gillespie. “Hopefully, you will take out of your busy schedule to join us and experience just why, ‘Jesus is the Reason for the Season.’”
