As Temps Rise, Use Caution with Kids & Pets – Grandmother Cited for “Endangering” 10 Year Old. Left Him in Car in 90° Heat

Around 11:40 am, Friday morning, MPD was called to the Walmart parking lot, for a report of a 10-year-old child being lift in a car as the temperatures raged at least 90°.
Officers quickly found the car, and paged the grandmother out of the store, and back to her vehicle.
Although the windows were down and he had a bottle of water, it is still too hot to leave a child or pet and a car, as temperatures rise.
The grandmother was cited for endangering the welfare of a minor.
