Only one week left to submit your entry form for the Pines Art Show & Sale to be held at the Monticello Branch Library in conjunction with Rough and Ready Days. 

The deadline is April 22, 2008.  Entry forms and guidelines are available at the Monticello Branch Library at 107 E. Jackson or by fax at 870-367-5166.  The Friends of the Library, who are sponsoring the Art Show and Sale, are inviting all former Monticello Art League members and other local artists in Drew, Bradley, Lincoln, Desha, and Chicot counties to submit their artwork to the show.  Specifically the show will be held May 7 – 13 with artwork being submitted on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3.  Artwork must be appropriately framed or matted and suitable for hanging or free standing.  Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work may be submitted, however, size and quantity of artwork may be limited according to space available.  The Monticello Branch Library and the Friends of the Monticello Library assume no responsibility if any damages are incurred.  Artwork may be for sale with the purchase of work arranged between the buyer and the artist.  Sold work cannot be removed from the show before May 14.  The Monticello Friends of the Library will host a reception to meet the artists on Saturday, May 10, from 2:00 – 4:00pm at the Monticello Branch Library.  For more information contact Marilyn Weih at (870)367-8584.
