Arkansas Sheriff’s Wives’ Association Scholarship
Published by UAM News February 26th, 2008 in Police /Legal, UAM News.As you know, education is a powerful tool that builds strong futures. Many prospective students struggle to achieve this dream. Every year, the Arkansas Sheriff’s Wives’ Association sponsors scholarships for Sheriff’s and Deputies’ children. The scholarships are awarded in April so that the scholarships can be announced at the recipient’s awards ceremonies at their school.
Law enforcement careers are chosen out of a desire to serve and protect rather than monetary gain. Usually, parents who have chosen these careers don’t have the resources to assist their children as much as they would like when it is time for them to go to college.
With your help, the Arkansas Sheriff’s Wives’
Association will support more young people, whose parents are in law enforcement, in pursuing a higher education. Your assistance is respectfully requested in this important endeavor. Any contribution will be appreciated. For the past several years we have been able to award 5 - 6 scholarships per year.
If you or your company would like to contribute to the Arkansas Sheriff’s Wives’ Scholarship Fund, please mail your contribution no later than April 15, 2008, to the address below. Your company will be investing in the future of outstanding Arkansas young people who have plans for a higher education. This investment can have only excellent returns.
