POCAHONTAS – Continuing their commitment to law enforcement, the National Wild Turkey Federation will honor Sgt. Matt Byrd with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for his efforts in conserving America’s wildlife.
2008 Arkansas fishing guidebook now available
The latest edition of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s fishing guidebook is now being distributed to AGFC offices and license dealers around the state. The guide is free and contains a few changes from the 2007 guide.
Great backyard bird count: Opportunity to meet nature
Audubon Society of Central Arkansas invites Arkansans to make their fascination with nature add up for science and for the future during the 11th annual Great Backyard Bird Count. The Great Backyard Bird Count is organized by the National Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
eBird Trail Tracker enhances outdoor enjoyment
Parks, nature centers, wildlife management areas and wildlife refuges can now enhance their visitors’ experience with the installation of eBird Trail Tracker software from the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology.
