Area Author Publishes Book

Peggy Brooks has announced the publication of her debut novel, The Stories My Children Didn’t Want to Hear.
Peggy, writing under her maiden name of Peggy J. Henry Brooks, has lived most of her 74 years of life in Southeast Arkansas and has recently had the first volume of her lifelong stories, self-published by Lulu, and says “This first volume is dedicated to my kids because this would not have been possible had they not tired of hearing my stories over and over again.”

Regarding publication, Peggy explained. “As any writer knows, when you live with a story long enough, it’s unexplainable how it feels to finally see your efforts in print and to be able to share the story with others. So far, the reviews have been overwhelming. I truly appreciate everyone’s comments and support, but, I simply wrote from my heart.”
“I am hoping to do more local book signings in the near future,” she added.
All of Peggy’s books are coming out as e-books, as well as hardcovers and paperbacks. She is currently at work on her second novel capturing more short stories and tales of her lifetime.
