The Sweet Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Selma AR will have our Annual Women’s Day Program to be held September 21, 2008 at 3:00 pm. Our theme for the event is “She is Come” referencing the scriptural text Mark 14:3-9. Our speaker for this occasion is Rev. Sonya Neal-Reeves, a Pine Bluff native.

Rev. Sonya Neal-Reeves is an associate minister at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC, under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr., Senior Minister and Servant where she serves as Assistant Associate Coordinator, Superintendent of Sunday School, Christian Discipleship Council Member,and on the Advisory Committee on Ordination for the District of Columbia Baptist Convention. She has received numerous awards and recognition for her outstanding achievements throughout her ministry. Rev. Reeves graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. In May 2004, she earned the Master of Divinity in Theology degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Currently, Rev. Reeves is working towards doctoral studies in ministry. Most of all, she is a child of God and will share her spiritual gifts God has given her with us on this day.
