Pictured here
are items found in the attic of the Allen House and will be on display at the Tours on Oct. 30 and 31, along with many other Allen family items found in the attic or in the yard.
A tour guide will take you through the house one floor at a time, relating as much historical fact as is available to us at present. You will have the opportunity to see everything that has been found in the house or given to the Spencers that relates to the house or the Allen family.
You will also hear what happened at the Paranormal Investigations that were conducted at the house this past June. Five EVP’s (electronic voice phenomena) will be played for you in the rooms where the voices were captured. When you get to the attic, you will have the opportunity to have your picture taken in the tallest turret. (no charge) At this year’s tour you will also get to hear Lisa Coon’s beautiful song, The Tale of LaDell. It will be playing on the front porch and in the gift shop.
Copies of the CD will be available in the gift shop located in the Sunroom. The tour will take about 25 minutes. Then you will have a chance to meet Mark Spencer on the back porch to ask questions. If you had an experience in the house or know of a story and would like to share it, please write it down and bring it with you. We would love to include your story in a scrapbook of Allen House experiences. We would also like to include photos of the house or the Allen family members if you would like to share copies with us.
The Midnight Hour tickets are SOLD OUT! We still have regular tour tickets available for both nights and the Paranormal Investigation tickets for Halloween (get these special tickets at the Allen House).
Regular tour tickets can be purchased at Discount Merchandise on the Square or at Grannie’s Attic next to Sav A Lot. Call for more information: 870-224-2271 or visit us on the web: www.allenhousetours.com
