After 20 Years of Business, Southeast Truss Closes
June 22nd, 2009 by Joe Burgess
Friday was the last day of business for Southeast Truss, a local business that has provided income for up to 15 Monticello area employees for 20 years.
In speaking to the company owner, this business closure is like so many other construction industy businesses, that are caught between national economic issues, and an overall construction slowdown.
Southeast Truss has supplied their products to locations all over Arkansas, Lousiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Florida.

I remember when Mr.Paul McHan first started this business and it was in a shed on E. Jackson. It has since become a big business..but like they said…due to the economic status and increased prices. it was forced to close.. just like Advanced Auto and others. I hate to see things like this happen.. it’s a great loss to our industrial status. Thanks to all the employees who helped make this a thriving business while it was in business.
