Advantages Ribbon Cutting
February 5th, 2026 by
Today marks a major milestone for our organization as we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting and open house of our new Adult Development Day Treatment (ADDT) building. This moment represents far more than the opening of a new facility—it reflects growth, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the adults with intellectual disabilities we serve.
Since September 2024, we have watched this building come to life from the ground up. Every stage of construction carried intention, vision, and hope. Seeing it completed today is both humbling and exciting, as it stands as a symbol of progress and opportunity for our community.
This new building allows us to expand our Adult Development Day Treatment program and better meet the needs of the individuals we support. Designed with learning, independence, and inclusion in mind, the facility will serve many adults with intellectual disabilities by providing increased access to education, skill development, and meaningful daily activities.
One of the most exciting features of the building is the open learning kitchen, which will offer hands-on opportunities for adults to build life skills such as cooking, nutrition awareness, safety, and independence. In addition, the facility includes six new classrooms, allowing us to expand learning opportunities across a variety of interests and abilities. Four new offices will support staff collaboration and individualized planning, while the new gym provides space for physical activity, wellness, and recreation.
This building represents a new chapter—not only for our program, but for every individual who will walk through its doors. It is a place where abilities are strengthened, confidence is built, and potential is recognized. We are incredibly grateful for the support from our community, partners, and staff who helped make this vision a reality.
As we begin this new journey, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. We cannot wait to see how this space will help our adults grow, learn, and thrive in the years to come.
