A Poem for the Library
Published by Joe Burgess July 31st, 2008 in Library.Originally thought-up by Salonica H.
The Monticello library is a great place.
You can come relax in peace,
You can even read a book or 2
There are so many wonderful things you can do.
You can check out a book….
About learning to cook,
or how to use a fishing hook.
You can check out an audio
maybe even get a video.
If money could price all the things….
That are available to you, you wouldnʼt know what to do!
It would be like counting stars in the sky.
Or doing something magificent..
learning to fly.
Now your library needs you
to help build a new model
with all the things it has brought to you
it would make you jump for joy.
It will double space and parking
there will be many more rooms
including places of meeting
and donʼt forget during winter much more heating!
It will even have a trail and a beautiful garden
sorry pardon me
This will all reflect the communities pride…
In this dream-worthy facility!!

The Monticello Branch library is grateful to have such creative a patron as Salonica. She and her sister are regular users of the library and are excellent readers. The whole staff appreciates her sentiments.
