Monticello Middle School Awarded Model PLC School Status
July 16th, 2020 by

Monticello Middle School has been awarded Model PLC School status by Solution Tree. A school must demonstrate a commitment to PLC concepts, implement those concepts for at least three years, present clear evidence of improved student learning, and explain the culture, practices, and structures of school.
Three years ago MMS was awarded a Professional Learning Community grant from the Arkansas Department of Education. During the past three years, MMS has been provided training from world renown educators on topics such as assessments, Response to Interventions, and Professional Learning Communities. With this training, MMS was able to set into place a true Professional Learning Community and increase student achievement inside and outside the classroom. You can read the MMS PLC story here
