Mike Wigley has officially announced his candidacy for Monticello City Council, Ward 4, Position 2.

Wigley has been a self-employed business owner in Monticello for 23 years and since 2005, has owned and operated Town & Country Florist & Gifts.

Wigley is a 1981 graduate of Monticello High School, and a 1986 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.

For 34 years, he has been married to Lori Rawls Wigley and the couple has two children, Daniel and Mary Beth. Daniel is in law school at the University of Arkansas and Mary Beth is a dance major at Sam Houston State University.

“I have an interest in the growth and development of the economy and business in Monticello in order to develop a better quality of life for all Monticellonians,” Wigley said.
