Fallen Tree Destroys Home, Residents Escape Through Window

A local lady and her son escaped injury, Friday morning before 8 AM, as they were preparing to leave for work, when a large tree fell across their home.
The residence, located on E. Bolling St., would appear to be a total loss, as the tree fell across all three bedrooms, as well as the living room.
The occupants were able to escape from the house by crawling through a bedroom window.
They told MLive, “At first it sounded like thunder,” hearing the sound of the tree breaking in two; then it got louder as the tree fell into the house.
No one was injured.
