MHS Choir State Sweepstakes / “Best in Class” 4A STATE Champs!

Congratulations! to Monticello High School Concert Choir, Madrigals, Male and Female Ensembles. Each choral group earned ALL Superior 1st Division ratings at the State CPA in Searcy on Wednesday, April 5. These ratings, combined with their 1st Division ratings in both performance and sight reading at the Region 3 CPA, gives each choral group the 2017 State Sweepstakes Award.
MHS Male and Female Ensembles also won the 2017 4A STATE Championship for “Best in Class” by earning the highest Superior 1st Division ratings. The MHS Female Ensemble are back-to-back 4A State CHAMPS. This is a historic achievement for MHS Choir.
Our kids did a splendid job as representatives of the school and community. I am honored and blessed to work with such amazing students. They received numerous compliments from the panel of judges and others about their superb performance and behavior. So much so that the university judges from Alabama and Louisiana wanted to know where is Monticello.
MHS and MMS Choirs will present their annual Spring Concert on April 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Monticello Middle School auditorium. We thank you for your support and encouragement.
