Victim Identified – Pedestrian Dies after being Struck by Car

Minutes before 10 o’clock, Monday night, a pedestrian on highway 425 S. was killed when she was struck by vehicle.
Some details are becoming available about last night’s traffic death, just south of the University.
The victim has been identified as Stacy Joan Gran, age 32, of Fayetteville.
It is believed that the she was walking south in the center of Highway 425 S. when she was struck by a southbound Ford Focus.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that she was wearing dark colored clothing at the time of the accident.
A Drew County Sheriffs Deputy quickly arrived, followed by Monticello Police Department officers and SEEMS ambulance.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the deputy Drew County coroner.
The Arkansas State Police are continuing to gather information about the case, and expected to release more information later today.
