Boozman’s Statement on Obama’s Transgender Bathroom Directive
U.S. Senator John Boozman issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s directive on transgender access to bathrooms in public schools:
“This is a shameful overreach by President Obama to push his beliefs on Arkansans and all Americans. Threatening our schools with lawsuits or the loss of federal funding for failing to comply with this directive is the latest power grab by this Administration. I reject this attempt by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education to control our schools from Washington, and support Governor Hutchinson’s call for Arkansas school districts to ignore the blatant abuse of power by the President.”
Thank you senator Boozman,, All of monticello needs to come together on this, and let washington know we have morales hear in Arkansas
AMEN! This is ludicrous and if allowed to actually happen bad things are going to take place in the bathrooms.
Thank you Joe for posting this, Obama is a joke, thank goodness is is fixing to be out, he has turned this world upside down, he can use whatever restroom he wants but not my kids!!!
Anyone dumb enough to support this kind of legislation is living in a fantasy world. I have too much respect for the office of POTUS to say what I think of Mr. Obama. However, I would like to remind everyone that he is just a man. He is not some god to worship.
Anyone trying to legislate something that would cause potential harm to anyone for a small percentage of the population who is mentally ill, is just complete nonsense. Anyone who supports this type of behavior needs to have their heads examined.
I think we have all had enough of Obama trying to cram things down our throats—this is the stupidist thing I ever heard of on bathrooms–all child molesters rapist & God knows what else out there–& one of those walk into a restroom & assualt someone–No no no!!!! the higher up govt needs to let the states have their own say in a lot of matters & stop blackmailing us—-maybe it’s time for the South to Rise Again—just sayin!!!!
With that said. The government needs to mind it’s own business with this bathroom garbage. I don’t understand why we have terrorists out there trying to kill Americans and murdering Christians but we have our attention turned on the Caitlyn Jenner’s of the world. I find it ridiculous. Men’s bathroom. Women’s bathrooms. Period. If we need to add a third to businesses as “unisex” then let’s do it. I’ll be D*** if some man dressed as a woman goes in the bathroom behind my daughter or wife. They only think life’s not fair until they get my hands around their neck for a few seconds.
