Mr hall is correct. the people of Monticello and Drew county do not want this convention center. we can not afford it. but the few here in Monticello think it is a great idea. so to them they say well will let the little people pay for this. Mr Hall is correct on the UAM. if they want a building so bad let them pay for it. it is already proven that this building if built will be theres. they are donating the property on UAM campus for it. its not going to be located in the city of Monticello on city property its going to be on UAM property. and as stated by the UAM they will staff it? and after the building is payed for by the PEOPLE then it returns to the full ownership of the college. then we the people will continue to pay for it through the hotel tax to up keep it, so the college is still going to get free money from the people thanks to the Mayor and 3 others on the city board of the peoples money to support the new college building. dont fool your selfs. the people will never get to use this building if built. the college will keep it booked for there activities. so if your tired of being USED by the few here in Drew County as a cash cow get out PEOPLE and vote NO. cause in the end it is your money and you do have a say in the matter.
