Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

I hope you are having an enjoyable summer. I realize summer is a busy time for students and parents so I want to let you know about the orientation and registration sessions that we have scheduled for the 2015-2016 school year.

6th Grade and New Student Orientation:

Orientation sessions for all 6th grade students and any new students (6th, 7th, or 8th) to the district will be held as follows:

• Session I – August 7th at 9:00 a.m. in the MMS Auditorium
• Session II – August 13th at 6:00 p.m. in the MMS Auditorium

Each student must attend one of the two orientation sessions with a parent or guardian. Each orientation session will last approximately two hours. Please make plans to attend one of the two sessions and make every effort to be on time as no one will be admitted after a certain point.

New students (6th, 7th, or 8th) to the district need to register for school prior to attending one of the two orientation sessions. Please contact the middle school at 367-4040 for additional information.

7th/8th Grade Registration (for returning MMS students):

• Registration for 7th graders will be held Tuesday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Registration for 8th graders will be held Wednesday, August 5th from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Each parent/guardian and student must complete the entire registration packet before the student’s schedule will be issued.

School will officially start on Monday, August 17, 2015 and Monticello Middle School will host an Open House/Report to the Public on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
