Fatal Crash on Barkada Road

At approximately 10:30, Saturday night, Arkansas State Police, Drew County Sheriffs Deputies, and Monticello Police responded to a rollover wreck on Barkada Road, between Tanglewood and Tracy Drives.
Information from the scene reports that 3 men were traveling in the eastbound Toyota Tundra, when it rolled over and flipped, ejecting its driver, 35 year old Luis Gonzalez, of Monticello.
Gonzalez was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital, by MASI, where he was pronounced dead at 11:20.
The two other men fled the scene on foot, but soon called police, and provided their statements about the accident.
The investigation to determine the cause of the crash is still underway.

This is what I’ve been scared that is going to happen on this road. I thought when they fixed the road they would widen it and make it better. There are SEVERAL drop offs on the side that is VERY dangerous if you run off of . They would very easily cause wrecks trying to correct. My heart goes out to this family.

This road is very dangerous because it is too narrow and is not wide enough for two vehicles. There are no shoulders on the road at all. Very dangerous.
Are they going to send him to his family or is he going to have funeral services here?

This IS a very dangerous road. So is Highway 83N. Wrecks out there all the time. Log trucks still doing 65mph, even when they come into a 30mph speed zone. Prayers to the family.

Drivers need to slow down. The speed limit is 45! The Law needs to patrol for speeders and drinking. It sounds like a speedway every night. The road would be fine if people would just obey the speed limit.
There will be no funeral here, he will be sent back to Mexico. RIP BOM BOM!!!
