Alvin Frederick Pamplin, Sr., 81 of Monticello, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, Ar surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life.

He was born on August 6, 1933 in Portland, Ar to the late Voyde Vincent Pamplin, Sr. and Sara Thurlar Pamplin. He retired from Union Camp after 48 years, a US Army veteran having served his country for 3 years, and a member of Second Baptist Church of Monticello, Ar.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances Juanita Pamplin, one daughter, Linda K. Pamplin, three brothers; Alfred Pamplin, Edward Pamplin, and Voyde Pamplin, Jr., and two sisters: Jannie Hoch & Vera Mills.
Survivors include two daughters: Frances Ann Jenkins of Monticello and Donna Lynn Noble(Billy); three sons; Alvin Frederick Pamplin, Jr., Herman Vincent Pamplin both of Crossett, Roy Glen Pamplin(Tina) of Monticello, three sisters: Frankie Mc Kenzie, Marie Zulpo, Betty Carter; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, September 04, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church (Monticello).
