Chris Barnett Seeking District 6 JP Position for Third Term

Chris Barnett of the Green Hill community has announced her candidacy for District 6 Justice of the Peace on the Drew County Quorum Court.
Barnet, a lifelong Drew County resident, is a 1971 graduate of Wilmar High School and received a cosmetology degree in 1972. For the past 42 years, she has worked in hair salons and operated a hairstyling business out of her home. She currently owns Chris’ Hair Care in Monticello.
She has been married to Buddy Barnett since 1976. They have a daughter, Laci Barnett Bratton and husband Rickie Bratton and a grandson Parker Duncan who are all residents of Drew County. Chris is the Daughter of Modeen Herring Burt of Wilmar, and the late Lloyd Herring, and the late Walter Burt.
Barnett is a member of the Wilmar United Methodist Church where she is the President of the Wilmar United Methodist Women. She has served on a number of community projects.
For the past four year, Barnett has served District 6 on the Drew County Quorum Court. She describes this honor as “One of the best opportunities to serve others in the community.” She pledges to continue to listen to the constituants and to continue to work hard for District 6, as well as, the rest of Drew County.
