When court resumed after lunch, a crash reconstruction expert was called by the defense.
He showed the jury drawings and photos vehicle positions and skid marks.
“Would staying in the vehicle mitigate the collision? ” “When he left his vehicle, there was insufficient time to maneuver his vehicle left or right.”
The witness feels Childs locked the trailer brakes before leaving the truck.
He closed by stating that there was no “rolling tire mark ” present.
After a lawyer meeting at the judge’s bench, court resumed, quickly followed by the defense completing their case.
At 1:30 the state’s closing began.
