Vandals Strike City Park Twice

In a report filed by Monticello Police last Wednesday, city parks workers discovered the concession stand at Burlington Field, located next to City Park, had been vandalized and broken into.
According to MPD, The building’s door had been kicked in, and drinks and candy stolen from the concession stand.
A few days later, on Monday morning, city workers again contacted the police department, in reference to a trash can inside one of the restrooms at City Park being set on fire. The only damage reported was to the trash can .
Anyone who sees suspicious persons or vehicles should notify MPD at 367-3411 .
