Judy Claudette Knowles Head, sixty-two years of age of Dallas, Tx passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in her home.

She was born February 20, 1952, in Monticello, Arkansas. She graduated from Monticello High School and completed her Bachelor of Sciences Degree at Southern Methodist University of Magnolia, Arkansas. Upon completion of her degree she moved to Dallas, Texas where she has her home. Claudette was a general contractor in the Dallas Metroplex area. She was the daughter of the late Van Doyle “Tootsie” Knowles and the late Margaret Katherine Causey Knowles. She was preceded in death by her sister Sue Beverly Knowles Melon and nephew Jeremy C. Gregory. Survivors are Mary Cathryn Flemister of Monticello, Arkansas, Earl Barkley Knowles, Sr. of Monticello, Arkansas and Linda Kay Gregory of Bullard, Texas.

A Celebration of Claudette’s life will be held at White Rock Boat Club, 340 E. Lawthes, Dallas, Tx 75218 on October 13,2013 at 2:00 P.M. A Celebration of her life will also be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel, Hwy 425 N, Monticello, Arkansas on October 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM. The family invites the respective communities to join the family in this celebration of Claudette.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in memory of Claudette and her love of books to Drew County Public Library, 107 East Jackson, Monticello, Arkansas 71655.
