Attempted “Snatch & Run” Robbery at Local Store

A local woman is being held at the Drew County Detention Facility, following her arrest for attempting to grab the money out of the cash register at a local convenience store.
Sylva Carr, of Watt St., was arrested shortly after the 5:30 incident at the Hyatt St. EZ-Mart by a Monticello Police officer, who recognized her from the surveillance tape.
Carr’s bond for attempted robbery was set at $5,000 by District Judge Luevonda Ross.
