6 Fire Departments Respond To Allis Sydney Fire Call

Around 5 PM, Thursday evening, a grain bin fire was reported at Allis Sydney facilities, on Highway 165 South near Jerome, in Drew County.
Collins-Cominto, Monticello, Dermott, Halley, McGehee and Lake Village Fire Departments responded to the fire, until approximately 9 PM.
The grain bin, containing rice, began smoldering reportedly due to an electrical nature.
As firefighters were spraying the dry product with water, employees were auguring rice away from the potential fire.
No one was injured and no serious damage was caused by the fire.

What a great job from all the responding areas.

EMS did assist with cooling off a few firemen with water cool place to recover.
