Tommy Brown stood before the Circuit Court of Drew County, last week, charged with 4 counts of “cruelty to animals”.

4 horses belonging to Brown, were found to be under-nourished, by authorities, and were taken from him, and transfered to Blue Bonnet Equine Society, in Texas.

During the case, Brown told the court that raising horses was his business.  However the court put Brown out of business by banning him from ”owning or possessing” horses for a year.  Brown has 30 days to get rid of any horses he has now.

Brown is to pay $680 to the court system, and just over $5,000 to Blue Bonnet, where his horses are now reported to be thriving.

And he didn’t get any jail time????

I am very shocked he didn’t get any jail time!! Some people fail to understand that animals have feelings too and they shouldn’t be neglected in any sense whatsoever. A person who mistreats animals should do some time in jail and not be allowed to own any animals for at least 3 years!!! This is just my opinion so i hope no one else gets offended by it because everyone thinks differently.

Are we the only two animal lovers or what? I agree. The laws should be stiffer there on animal related crimes. However they should never have pets ever! As I recall in the “Psycology of Criminology”, animal cruelty usually leads to other “crimes”.
