Balloon launch at Drew Central

balloons.jpg

Drew Central second grade teacher Ryan McRae’s class celebrated the 100th day of school Thursday, February 1. The last weekend of January, while duck hunting, McRae saw a balloon land not far from his decoys with a piece of paper attached. Finding it interesting, he collected the balloon and it originated from Hermitage Elementary’s 100th day celebration. McRae’s students’ wrote letters to Hermitage Elementary congratulating them on their 100th day and wanted to have a balloon release of their own while wondering if they would get congratulation letters. So if you see a balloon floating around, it may just be from this second grade class.
