$250 Scholarship to Be Awarded for Drew County Students Essay, Deadline is Jan. 15

If you are in this age group and plan to follow a course of study at a college or university in the state of Arkansas in a conservation related field please try this.
Agriculture, horticulture, forestry, range management, soil sciences, environmental management, environmental law, botany, and biology are all considered conservation related fields. And there are others.
Conservation districts—county, district, and state combined—offer a chance at a total of $1,750 in scholarship money for writing the winning (500 word minimum) essay on the topic “Healthy Watersheds: Who is Responsible? .
Complete details are available at the library, County Extension office, high school counselors, Chamber of Commerce, or the conservation district office. Call 367-8400 ext. 3. Deadline for submission is January 15, 2008.
